Speedlinking 8/6/06

This morning I am reminded that no bad deed goes unnoticed. I recently referred to Gagdad Bob of One Cosmos in less than flattering terms. He has since referred to IOC as a wacky new age website. This could be fun.

In other news around the blogosphere:

~ Check out ~C4Chaos' short little jam with his favorite guitar and his teddy bear. If you're reading this ~C4, you could post more blues anytime you want and I'll be listening.

~ Mike at Unknowing Mind has posted the first part of a discussion of Flaws, Suffering, and Buddhism. He seems to be using NLP ideas in conjunction with Buddhist ideas to explore the concept of working with flaws.

~ Blogmandu has another fine roundup, including some blogs that are new to me.

~ Nagarjuna of Naked Reflections takes a rather strong stance in support of Israel after reading one of Colmar's posts.

~ The Zero Boss offers another tasty Sugar Rush. Be sure to check out the rest of Jay's blog as well. He's been in a blogging flow recently.

~ I'd like introduce all of you to a blog I'm pleased to have discovered through the Sprial Dynamics list serve. Lebanon Rising is blogged by Elza Maalouf. Elza is an incredibly intelligent and passionate activist on behalf of women in the Middle East. But this blog is dedicated to her views on the current crisis. She is a regular presenter with Don Beck at his Spiral Dynamics certification events.

~ From Raven's Blog: Apparently there has been a satirical video floating around from YouTube that paints Al Gore as an irrational fanatic blaming the Middle East crisis and Lindsay Lohan's shrinking waist for global warming, all the while brainwashing some penguins. It appears to be a low-budget homemade vid, but further research has found it to be sourced in "a Washington, D.C., public relations and lobbying firm whose clients include oil company Exxon Mobil Corp." Nice.

~ In light of all the posturing in the media about the "end times," What Really Happened has put together a list of all the other times the world was going to end, who proclaimed it, and what really happened.

~ From the Great News Network: A link to an MSN article suggesting 10 ways to make your home more green friendly.

~ And totally from left field: Eat your walnuts.

Okay, that's all I have this morning. Have a nice Sunday, and tell someone close to you how much s/he means in your life.

You and Nagarjuna, oh no. You know what happened to Bush when he entered Gagdad. He could never get out. Watch your step, you whacky new-age blogger, you.

Thanks for the link to B'du, btw!
